Automatic Control Railway Switch Ice and Snow Melting Use Mineral Insulated Electric Heater is an automatically controlled mineral insulated electric heater based on mineral insulated heating cable with the controlling unit composed by a sensor of temperature as well as snow and ice cumulation level and computer for signaling the heating start and end to the heater. It is widely used for the ice and snow melting use on railway switch.
During winter season or in high latitude area, snowing and icing commonly happen. For the safety and efficiency of railway transportation, the snow and ice cumulated on the railway road especially at the switches should be moved immediately. The work has been done initially by workers but it is costly and causes problem. With the rapid increase of the speed of railway operation, the requirement of passenger safety and punctuality as well as railway automation level, a fast, efficient and controllable way- Automatic Control Railway Switch Ice and Snow Melting Use Mineral Insulated Electric Heater should be introduced to be used on the railway transportations.
Automatic Control Railway Switch Ice and Snow Melting Use Mineral Insulated Electric Heater is composed of main parts as follow:
1. Electrical control cabinet
2. Touch screen (local) control computer
3. Remote (central) control server
4. Sensor of rail temperature, snow or ice cumulation level and ambient temperature
5. Railway switch electric heater of mineral insulated heating element
6. Switch machine use electric heater
7. Junction box, isolation transformer, installation accessories
The targeted electric heater can be designed and manufactured based on users’ requirement and working conditions.
